NOUN: A word that names a person, place, thing, or idea.


VERB: A word that expresses action, being or condition.
ADJECTIVE: A word that modifies / adds meaning / describes a noun or a pronoun.
ADVERB: A word that modifies / adds meaning / describes a verb, an adjective or
another verb.
PRONOUN: A word that substitutes for a noun.
PREPOSITION: A word that shows relationship between its objects and some other
word in the sentence.
CONJUNCTION: A word that joins words, phrases, or clauses.
INTERJECTION: A word that shows surprise or sudden feeling.
