In Fetești village, Edineț district you will be surprised by a real landscape masterpiece. The
"Little Switzerland" reservation is a true monument of nature, it has steep limestone cliffs,
which have a height of up to 300 meters.
Fetești Gorge is a geological or paleontological nature monument in Edinet district, Republic
of Moldova. It is located southwest of the village of Fetești, near the G15 road route (Lopatnic-
Edineț).It has an area of 68 ha according to the Law of Protected Areas or 38.4 ha according to
more recent measurements. The object is administered by the City Hall of Fetești village.
The first to describe the gorge was the geologist and paleontologist Alexandru Mihalski.
The Fetești gorge appeared due to the action of the Draghiște river on the reef massif. It is
considered one of the most picturesque gorges in the Toltrele Prutului area. Together with the
Burlănești and Trinca gorges, it forms the Trinca – Fetești – Burlănești natural complex in the
Draghiște river basin.
