Teenagers mind - Introduction

 To begin with I’m going to introduce myself- my name is Anurag Barman and I am
student of class 12th ‘science’.
 In addition ,  you may ask me, why I have chosen such a topic. It’s quite simple. There is
not a shadow of doubt that these problems are the problems of today. Me myself have
such problems that is the main reason I wanted to write something about this things which
go through our mind and how we can deal with it , maybe your children in the future will
face with them.
  So, making things clear in this matter it can be very useful to you as well.
Adolescence is a time of growth and maturation in the
brain.
There are many young people in our country. Teenagers are a group
of young people of the age of thirteen - nineteen years old.

I’m seventeen so I belong to that group. There are many problems, which are common for all
young people. For example: how to spend free time, what to do after finishing school, how to
deal with the classmates and parents.
1.
Adolescence is a time when many new
Behavior's begin to emerge (most of which
irritate and frustrate parents!).
The problem number one
is the problem of fathers
and sons.

All teens want to be independent, we

don’t like when our parents try to rule
every step of our life. Our parents don’t
like our clothes and our music. They
often try to treat us like small children.
But if you really want to solve this
problem you must try to understand each
other.
Our age – is time of making a choice
what we will be in future, what we want
to do and how. So we have to choose the
university to have better education and
future profession.
Emotional problems for young people can be far more difficult than financial
ones.
The typical teenager problem is that “nobody understands me”. Youth is also at the time to meet their first love. It is of coarse wonderful
but as it is widely known that first love often has an unhappy end. This also increases young people’s problems.
Even friends cannot always stay friends
when young people begin to understand
themselves a little bit better old friends
sometimes just grow apart. And
sometimes you have problems in
communicating with each other and you
even stay alone.
Avoid this
Some teens begin smoking and drinking
alcohol to show that they are grown-ups
already. This will lead to poor health in future
(especially for girls). And sometimes they use
drugs not because of that they want. And it
often leads to bad ends.
How teenagers spend
their time crucial to
brain development

So, it’s worth thinking about the range

of activities and experiences your child
is into – music, sports, study, languages,
video games. How are these shaping the
sort of brain your child will take into
adulthood?
2.
Understanding
the Teen Brain
recent research has found that adult and teen brains work
differently. Adults think with the prefrontal cortex, the
brain’s rational part. This is the part of the brain that
responds to situations with good judgment and an awareness
of long-term consequences. Teens process information with
the amygdala. This is the emotional part.

In teen’s brains, the connections between the emotional part of the brain and the decision-making
center are still developing—and not always at the same rate. That’s why when
teens have overwhelming emotional input, they can’t explain later what they were thinking. They
weren’t thinking as much as they were feeling.
Typical teenage behavioral changes include:

Changes in ATTENTION

Changes in MOTIVATION

Changes in RISK-TAKING behavior

You might be surprised to learn that many adolescent behaviors are a direct result
of brain changes, and are completely normal !

You’re the most important role model your kids have. Sure, their friends are important to them, but the
way you behave and fulfill your responsibilities will have a profound and long-lasting effect on your children.
Three point to discuss

in shows them they’re

Parents tend to jump in with advice to try to fix their children’s problems or place blame. But this can
make teens less likely to be open with their parents in the future. You want to make it emotionally safe
and easy for them to come to you, so you can be part of their lives.
Signs of trouble

Your teen needs your guidance, even though they may think they don’t. Understanding their
development can help you support them in becoming independent, responsible adults
“ The scariest part of raising teenagers is
remembering the stupid things you did
as a teenager.
……………………………………………………………………. ”
To sum up problems of teenagers are extremely urgent. It’s very difficult to be young nowadays as
indeed it always was. But you only can be young ones and some wonderful things can happen to
you only when you’re young. So it’s better to enjoy youth while it lasts.
