COMPANY
PROFILE

Due to the promising prospects of geothermal

energy in Indonesia, coupled with the large
demand for renewable energy and the need to
increase its share in the proportion of the total
energy mix, PT Supreme Energy was founded
in October 2007 by Mr. Supramu Santosa, an
oil and gas industry veteran and former
founder of Star Energy Group.

The company was specifically formed to take

advantage of its vast knowledge and
experience, and to further develop the
geothermal energy sector.

FIELD
OVERVIEW

GEOGRAPHY
The Lahendong geothermal field is located about
30 km south of Manado, on the northern arm of
the island of Sulawesi. Sulawesi Island was formed
as a result of active subduction in the south east
(marine molluscs) and north (sea celebes).
Regionally, this field is located on the western
margin of the Tondano depression which stretches
for about 20 km, in a north-south direction and
opens to the west. Within this depression are the
circular edges of the Komlombian in important
shape and structure in the Lahendong geothermal
system.

FIELD
OVERVIEW

STRATIGRAPHY
• Tondano Formation (Tt): Interlayers of
pyroclastic breccia, andesite lava, and tuf.
• Tondano Tuff Unit consists mainly of tuff and
pumice formed during the formation of the
Tondano caldera.
• Lengkoan Lava mountains are located on the
north side of the prospect and consist mainly
of andesite lava.
• Rinwith 1 A series of interbedded layers of
pyroclastic breccia, lapili, tuff.

7
FIELD
OVERVIEW

• Reservoir located at 8000 – 99850 ft deep in

Tondano Formation.

• Reservoir has 1640 ft thick.

• Tondano Formation consisted of Rhyolitic Tuff,

Breccia, Pumiceous, rhyolite lava.

FEATURES &
INNOVATION

1. Aerated Drilling 2. Sliding

Aerated drilling is an underbalanced drilling A tool called “Sliding Capping Equipment”
technique, which purposed to repair or SLICE is a special tool for dealing with
production well, and in some cases, used to geothermal wellhead fractures. SLICE has
overcome hole cleaning. been tested for many times and has been
proven to be effective in closing
geothermal wells. The process of closing
the geothermal well (capping) takes only 3
minutes and welding the wellhead 15
minutes. Thus, total time needed to repair
the wellhead takes only 18 minutes.
