1. Using a pencil, design the pattern on your Peking Opera Mask
2. Choose what colours you will use and label each section in pencil
3. Collect newspaper and put it on your desk, then collect a paintbrush, pot of water,
palette/paper plate and paints (share the water, palette and paints one between two)
4. Carefully paint your mask (don’t put too much paint on, otherwise it won’t dry)
5. Leave the mask to dry and carefully wash up the palette (you can throw away the paper
plate) and brush. Empty your water pot and throw it away
6. Once your mask is dry, label each colour in characters
7. Write a description of your mask in characters in your exercise book
