The lungs are a pair of spongy, air-filled organs
located on either side of the chest (thorax)

NOSE
The main function of the nose is respiration, and
the nasal mucosa lining the nasal cavity and the 
paranasal sinuses carries out the necessary
conditioning of inhaled air by warming and
moistening it.
MOUTH
The mouth, also known as the oral cavity, is the
secondary external opening for the respiratory tract.
Most normal breathing takes place through the nasal
cavity, but the oral cavity can be used to supplement
or replace the nasal cavity’s functions when needed.

Are two tubes that serves as the branches of the

 This is a disease characterized by shortness of breath
 Wheezing is observed during asthma attacks.
 Infections, polluted air, and allergies can trigger asthma.
 Asthma can be controlled by proper medication.
 “IMMUNOTHERAPY” is done by injecting allergy shots to make
a patient less sensitive to an allergen.

This is an inflammation of bronchioles.
It is normally caused by a virus.
Tobacco smoke, dust, fumes, and air pollution can
be the cause of this disease.

This is a disease that can be transmitted through
droplets in the air
When a person with TB sneezes, droplets spread
through the air and can be inhaled by another person

LUNG CANCER
This disease may attack any part of the lungs. It is
characterized by coughing, shortness of breath, and
blood mucus.
Lung cancer is most often caused by cigarette
smoking
Can be treated by chemotherapy or medication
