introduction
I have been approached by First Music asking for help setting up a computer
network for their shop. At the moment they do not have any computers in their
shop. They want a network of computers that are able to connect to the internet,
send documents to a centralised printer, and upload and download new and used
music files. They want to be able to teach new customers how to use the
computers, printer and how to upload and download music files to USB storage
devices. I will need to meet the client requirements, I would need to total up the
cost of buying the hardware and software installation costs.
Purpose of computer network

● Teach clients computer knowledge and help to teach them how to download
music
● Offer teaching classes
User requirements
ItI has been decided that the following are required for the computer network:
Three high-spec computers - one computer to be used for sales and stock control, one computer for downloading music and for use in
the classes for people learning how to use MP3 players, and one computer to be set up in the manager’s office.

An operating system and application software.

They will need at least five shared folders and seven shared files, with different access permissions for different users.
At least one shared hardware network resource, e.g. a printer, a scanner,
an external storage device.

The store will have at least three network users, one of whom must be a network administrator with full control over the computer
network.
The network will have to be configured for the users, e.g. to be able to add more users, remove existing users, change
passwords(s), change access rights, set login restrictions, disable user accounts.

The setup of network utilities is also required, e.g. remote desktop, instant messaging, antivirus, and firewall.
All network users will be expected to have a username and password to access the computer network.
 User requirement in details
Three high spec computers - one computer is to be used for stock control and sales.
One for downloading tunes & educational knowledge.The last computer to be set up in
the manager's office.
Operating system and application software operating system used will be Windows
for the computers. Word and powerpoint to make the lesson more less complex with a
standard layout. My client will also want audio software - which of course I will tailor to
their specific needs.
My client requested that I set up at least 5 shared folders, and 7 shared files - with
different access permission for different users.
1 shared network a centralised printer will be set up for a external storage for invoices
I will obviously make sure that all permission of access are well secured
How connect and communicate
Connecting two or more computers will require a switch therefore allowing
communication between them. The severe is going to be connected to the switch
to let data be sent through the devices and to access user account. A network
interface card can be connected to the switch either wireless or wired using or
wired using ethernet. Router needs to be connected to the switch to let you access
the internet on all devices (wired or wireless)

Firewall Firewalls may not be placed in front of networking equipment managed by IT Services. The organization
installing the firewall agrees to act as the first line of support for all networking issues involving machines behind the
firewall.

Explain why does the client need 3 networks

The clients needs 3 computers because the first computer will be used for stock
control and sales, the second computer will be used for will be used for
downloading music to use in classrooms for people to learn how and use an MP3
player the last computer will be used in the office.
Use of google softwares

The use of google slides is convenient because is more useful to use if you were
to make slides or presentation as it more simple to work around. As for google
chrome its already installed onto the computer witch smooth running browsers that
come with varsity of software packages.

Google Drive this software can store important information and keep everything
safe and stored correctly.

Music software i would use window media or itunes to play music
