Introduction to CMM
 A coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a
device that measures the geometry of physical
objects by sensing discrete points on the surface of
the object with a probe.
History of CMM
 The history of CMMs started in 1959 when they
first appeared at the International Machine Tool
Exhibition in Paris. They were manufactured by
Ferranti, a British company
