Who invented the type writer

The invention of the typewriter is not completely attributed to anyone in particular, since
there were a multitude of inventors who each contributed their contribution and, in
most cases, by patenting it. The first indication of a prototype similar to a typewriter
dates from the year 1714, the year in which the prototype was patented in the United
Kingdom by the Englishman Henry Mill. This machine developed exponentially, after the
attempts of various inventors, mostly of European origin. It was when the American
inventors Christopher Sholes, Carlos Glidden and Samuel W. Soulé in 1827 created the
first typewriter that was marketed, although in a fairly limited way. Then, it was not until
the typographer appeared from the hand of the American William A. Burt in 1829 (the
year in which he registered the patent), that the later development of the first
typewriter that possessed real utility became largely possible. commercially.

Function on typewriter
The function of the typewriter was key in the
industrial and cultural development of the time,
leaving behind copyists (modern scribes) and the
limitation of specialized information. Those who
benefited most from this invention were businesses
and retail consumers. It should be noted that this
invention solved the problem of eternal dependence
on the printing press, which was ideal for making
books on a large scale, but not for short and specific
jobs, which the typewriter did perfectly.

Evolution
Such was the evolution of the typewriter that
electric models were developed at the
beginning of the 20th century. Therefore, the
great particularity of the electric model is that
it relied on electricity for its operation, but it
had no screen or any digital element. This
invention turned out to be more portable,
efficient and agile to use. Then, it can be
affirmed that the current keyboards of
computers, mobiles and other devices are
inspired by the evolution that took place in
typewriters.
