INTRODUCTION

• Yoga is the ancient way to attain physical, mental,


and spiritual practice. Primarily originating in India,
the word 'yoga' is derived from Sanskrit, meaning to
unite. This unity signifies the ultimate union of the
body with consciousness and thus attaining
definitive peace.

 8th edition of yoga day.
 On 27th September 2014, PM Narendra Modi proposed the concept of
International Yoga Day in the UNGA (UN General Assembly).

 On 11 December 2014, the UNGA officially declared 21 June as


“The International Yoga Day”.

YOGA FOR PCOS
• PCOS is a medical condition in which the women
ovaries produce immature or partially mature eggs in
large numbers and over the time these becomes cysts
in ovaries.

• Due to this , ovaries become large and secrete large


amount of male hormones causing infertility , irregular
menstrual cycles, hair loss and abnormal weight gain.
YOGA FOR INFERTILITY

• Infertility primarily refers to the biological inability of


a person to contribute to conception.

• Anxiety, Depression, Guilt and stress can significantly


reduce fertility.
• Yoga can improve fertility rate and chances
of conceiving.
• Yoga stimulates the ovaries and uterus.

• Improves blood flow and supply to


reproductive organs.

• As Ayurveda and Yoga are interrelated, they together
encompass healing disciplines in the body. On the
one hand, Ayurveda rejuvenates the body; on the other,
Yoga deals with the purification of mind and
consciousness. Thus, together they both complement
and embrace each other.
