Consultant Mobilization
Following the notice to commence issued by the Employer, the Consultant has commenced the Consultancy
Service of the project on July 14th, 2021.

Consultant Personnel Mobilization


In accordance with the Consultancy agreement, the Consultant has mobilized a team consisting of different disciplines. The
team comprises of Resident Engineer, Assistance RE, material Engineer, Highway Engineer, Structural Engineer, Hydraulic
Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, quantity surveyor, Senior Surveyor, two Surveyors, two laboratory technician, two work
inspectors, material inspector, structure inspector, Laboratory and survey assistance and secretary has been mobilized to the
site at different time.

Consultant Office Establishment


The Consultant has rented his own permanent site office at Guder town. The office is fully furnished properly and provide
Vehicles and standard surveying equipment Total station and level.

Outstanding Issues
Delay from Contractor Mobilization and Production
 Delay in establishment Asphalt plant
 Late nearly established crusher plant but still on trial production
 Delay in investigation of Asphalt aggregate material searching
 Delay in preparations Asphalt Mix Design and base course production.
Delay from Employer and need series attention given to:

 Delay in compensation payment for utility and properties owners obstruction on the main road

200m omission gap between Guder-Ambo and Guder-Gedo project

Challenged and potential to delaying the completion date of the project are:-
 Delay in compensation payment for Utilities and owner properties obstruction
 Scarcity of construction material such as cement and fuel
 Intent of Insecurity of the surrounding
The Way Forward
 Employer solve the tardiness on compensation paid for utility and property owners
 Employer assistance is required on purchasing cement and other materials
 All stake holders should work as a team to target the remain workload on time .

Issues on Lot-2
• ROW obstruction Existing Irrigation canal on Route -12

• Homicho Water line crossing on Route-10

• Compline proposed on Route 4 and 2 related to sub grade treatment process because the indicated

routes carrying heavy trucks load based on this they needs review the design

• And the consultant has staff mobilized and supervision the work process even not yet contract signs
