Shapes are everywhere “From

rectangular doors, to triangular
roofs and circular wheels. They
can be found from as tiny as an
sugar and as huge as an door.
They can be found in day to day
lives e.g.-watches, sandwich,
books etc.
Why do we need shapes

 Learning shapes helps us identify and organize visual information, it also helps learn skills in
other curriculum areas including reading, math, and science. Learning shapes also helps
understand other signs and symbols. letters and numbers are easy to learn because those are
partially made of shapes!
 Geometry is in part the study of shapes.  Having a basic understanding of them from a young age
will make this math class a lot easier for kids. Understanding the characteristics of shapes involves
a lot of counting too.
How shapes are important in our lives

Shapes helps us to smoothly do the work. They are mainly

used in architecture, art, math etc.
Our lives without shapes

 Our life would have been miserable if there weren’t any shapes. The
structures of the object might be more complicated. For e.g.-if the
roofs were made up of square shape the snow wouldn’t slide off that
easily, if balls were made up of quadrilateral shape that circular it
would take much more effort.

 The wheel- it was the biggest life changing invention in man kind history. This made
passengers to carry the load from one place to another much easier.

 The compass-it made the travelers to know the directions and to travel safely
