DIVISIBILITY RULE FOR 2


• A number is divisible by 2 if its last
digit is 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8.
• All even numbers are divisible by 2.
EXAMPLES:
10 32 104 1 006 48 908
DIVISIBILITY RULE FOR 5
A number is divisible by 5 if
the last digit of the number is 0 or
5.
EXAMPLES:
30 115 1 005 1 110
DIVISIBILITY RULE FOR 10
A number is divisible by 10 if
the last digit of the number is 0.
EXAMPLES:
10 40 1 000 1 400
DIVISIBILITY RULE FOR 3
A number is divisible by 3 if the
sum of its digits is divisible by 3.
EXAMPLES:
423 = 4 + 2 + 3 = 9
9 is divisible by 3
423 is divisible by 3
DIVISIBILITY RULE FOR 6
A number is divisible by 6 if it
is divisible by both 2 and 3.
EXAMPLES:
402 = 2 is divisible by 2
4+0+2=6 6 is divisible by 3
= 402 is divisible by 6.
DIVISIBILITY RULE FOR 9
A number is divisible by 9 if
the sum of its digits is divisible
by 9.
EXAMPLES:
2 574 = 2 + 5 + 7 + 4 = 18
18 is divisible by 9
2 574 is divisible by 9
