Nanomaterials for food packaging
http://ojs.omniscient.sg/index.php/amst/article/view/294/155
 The food packaging of nanomaterials has the characteristic of air barrier,
heat resistance and anti bacterial.
 According to statistics, nanomaterials used in food packaging materials are
increasing every year, with an annual growth rate of about 15.8%. By 2020,
the utilization rate of nanomaterials is expected to reach about 30.89%.
 In the traditional food packaging, the packaging materials used are
generally paper, metal and plastics. Most of these materials have pollution
effects.

LG Display is in a position to unveil its future roadmap and to develop a bent, folding
and drying display using P-OLED technology by 2017.
5. Transportation
The advantages of composite
 Design Flexibility  Design Flexibility
 Low cost per cubic inch  Durable
 Lower material costs  High Flexural Modulus
to Carry Demanding
 Improved productivity Loads:
 As molded dimensional accuracy  High Impact Strength
 Tight tolerance, repeatable   High Performance at
moldings Elevated Temperatures:
 Heat Resistance
 Low-post mold shrinkage  Naturally Flame
  Chemical Resistance Retardant
 Creep Resistance
 Consolidated Parts and Function
 Mechanical Property
 Corrosion Resistance Retention
 Lighter Weight than Metal  Superior Thermal
Stability
 Electrical insulator
The disadvantages and limitation of composite material

 Properties of many important composites are anisotropic - the

properties differ depending on the direction in which they are measured
– this may be an advantage or a disadvantage
 Many of the polymer-based composites are subject to attack by
chemicals or solvents, just as the polymers themselves are susceptible
to attack
 Composite materials are generally expensive
 Manufacturing methods for shaping composite materials are often slow
and costly
 Composites have very expensive repairs and maintenance.
