Energy conservation

What is the Law of Conservation

of Energy?
Energy cannot be generated or destroyed, according to the rule of conservation
of energy. It may, however, be changed from one form to another.  (The amount
of energy in the Universe is constant.)
Do we not create energy at a power plant?
No, we simply transform energy at our power plants.
Does the sun not create energy?
No, it exchanges mass for energy.

 Though the total energy of a system is constant, the form of the energy can
change.
 A basic example is that of a simple pendulum, in which a continual exchange
goes on between kinetic and potential energy
More examples:
In a flashlight, the chemical energy of the batteries is turned into
electrical energy, which is converted into heat energy and light.
In a speaker, electrical energy gets changed to sound energy.
Energy conservation formula:
Characteristics of conserving
energy:

No matter what, you can’t create energy out of nothing: it has to come from
somewhere.
We can transform energy from one form to another; we can store energy, we can
utilize energy being conveyed from natural sources as the net energy of the entire
Universe is constant.
