Introduction:
• The word Autocad is made up of two words “Auto”(logo of
company) and “Cad”(Computer aided design).
• Autocad is 2D and 3D modelling software.
• Autocad is developed by “Autodesk” company.
• It is an USA based company.
• It is widely used in industry for 2D drawing and 3D modelling.
• Firstly launched by Autodesk company in December 1982.
• It comes in India in 1988.
• This time we have the latest version of Autocad is 2023.

3D Modelling:
• 3D Modelling is the process of developing a
mathematical co-ordinate based representation of any
surface of an object in three dimensions via specialized
software by manipulating edges, vertices and polygons.
• In 3D modeling, we use the design we've created using
3D drawing commands and then make things out of it.
Unlike surface modeling, where you generally begin
with a solid shape and modify that, the process used in
AutoCAD is similar to wireframe modeling.
3D Autocad Commands:
• UNION(UNI): The union command will allow you to join separate
3D Objects into one.
• SUBTRACT(SU): The subtract command will allow you to subtract
3D objects from another 3D object.
• SLICE(SL): The slice command will allow you to create a joint
through a 3D solid.
• EXTRUDE(EXT): The extrude command will extrude a 2D object
into a3D object will be removed from the drawing.
• PRESSPULL(PRESS): The presspull command will extrude a 2D
object, or extend a 3D surface. When using the presspull command
with a 2D object, the 2D object will remain in the drawing.
