Wh questions Wh Questions son un grupo de preguntas
que se caracterizan porque en su nombre
tienen las letras "wh-" al inicio, excepto por
uno de sus casos. Las Wh Questions son:

● What : qué o cuál

● Why : por qué
● When : cuándo
● Where : dónde
● Who : quién
● Which : cuál
● How : cómo
a. with an auxiliary | con un verbo auxiliar:

Wh-word + auxiliary + subject + main verb …?

Wh-__ + verbo auxiliar + sujeto + verbo principal …?

Algunos de los verbos auxiliares más comunes son: be (ser/estar), do (hacer), have
(tener/haber).

También se pueden usar los verbos modales: will, shall, would, can, could, must,
should, may, might, etc.

● What do you do for a living?

b. without any auxiliary | sin verbo auxiliar:

(esto es posible cuando las palabras que comienzan con WH- sustituyen al sujeto
de la oración)

Estructura de la pregunta

Si el verbo principal de la pregunta es to

be, la estructura de la pregunta es la

siguiente:
En caso que el verbo principal de la oración

sea cualquier otro verbo, debes usar el

verbo to do como auxiliar interrogativo. La

estructura debe ser la siguiente:

Actress Jennifer Aniston is best known for her role playing Rachel in the popular television
sitcom, Friends. She was born in California on February 11, 1969. Her father, John Aniston, is
also an actor.

Jennifer briefly lived in Greece when she was a child; she later moved with her family to
Pennsylvania, and then to New York City. It was in New York that she took up acting, joining the
drama club at school. By 1988, she was performing in Off-Broadway plays while working part-
time as a waitress.

She was cast in several television series and movies in the early 1990s, but her big break came
in 1994. It was then she was cast in Friends. After the show’s ten-year run ended in 2004, she
has maintained a successful film career. She has acted in both comedies and dramas, receiving
critical praise for her parts.

Aniston’s personal life has also gotten a lot of attention. From 2000 to 2005, she was married to
actor Brad Pitt. She has also been romantically involved with other Hollywood celebrities, and is
currently engaged to Justin Theroux.
Titanic is an epic romantic disaster film that was released in 1997.
Many Americans have watched this heartwarming movie and had
tears come to their eyes. It was one of the most expensive movies to
be created; yet it was a hit as soon as it came out in theaters. Titanic
tells the story about the ship “Titanic” hitting an iceberg and sinking,
and a romance between two of the passengers – Rose and Jack. The
movie starts with an old Rose coming to see some of the items that
were retrieved from the water. She flashes back to her youthful days
and goes into detail about the things that occurred on the ship.
