Verbs are action words .Verbs have different aspects.
The Simple Tense/Aspect is one.
This simple tenses/aspect of a verb are used to express present, past,
and future actions or conditions.
The simple past tense
It is used to show an action that happened in the past.
Example: I went to market with my mother last Sunday.
The simple present tense
It is used to show an action that is done repeatedly or habitually.
It also expresses facts or truths.
The verb forms are the base form and the –s or –es.
The base form goes with the plural subject.
The –s or –es form goes with singular subject.
Be forms used in the simple present tense are am, is, or are.
Example: Whoever catches the thief will be richly rewarded
Friends help us to grow up healthy.
