•Class Dojo is a free online classroom management resource for teachers. It helps teachers,
students, and parents connect and share important learning moments. Allows teachers to
upload photos, videos, and documents.
• It helps teachers track student behaviors and allows teachers to reward good behavior with
points. Teachers can create avatars for students and award them for good behavior,
participation, or any form of improvement. They can also remove points for bad behavior.
• Class Dojo is a tool that allows teachers to provide on-time students regarding behavior and
participation. Helps maintain student engagement and aids to creating a positive learning
environment

How can it be used in classroom?
• Class Dojo can be used by allowing teachers to create an online classroom presence. It allows
teachers to track their student’s behaviors, improvements, and successful movements.
• It can be used in math, reading, writing, etc. Class Dojo can be used in every area of your
classroom.
• Class Dojo can be used to give private chats regarding a student’s improvement in class.
Teachers can communicate with parents to discuss issues a student is facing and how they can
work together to improve the student’s success.
• Class Dojo involves learning and fun to help students succeed in class.
It also allows teachers to create groups for specific activities and allows
them to reward the group.

• Makes it easy for parents and teachers to interact in a fast way.

• Parents can see their child's behavior by seeing what awards they have received.

Cons
• Students don’t learn from this website. Only regulates classroom behavior
• It can cause students embarrassment when the teacher removes points or when they don’t
receive points.
• Everyone can see students’ points and growth. It’s not designed to allow the student or parent
to see just their student’s progress but to see everyone’s progress.
• Parents may be upset that their student doesn’t have a certain number of points or
not see their child in the photos or videos uploaded by the teacher.
• It may cause students to lose strive because they may see others improve but
not see their improvement.
Why is rewarding behavior important?
Rewarding good behavior is important for students is important
because it gives the student a sense of assurance. It lets them
know that they are learning and grasping the information. A
2018 study that viewed the thoughts of students on class dojo
showed that students had a positive experience with class dojo
( Views of Middle, 2018). Students love to know that they are
learning, and it improves students perception of learning. Class
dojo will help students develop behavior choices.
