Learning Goals: Students will review their individual political typology results and self-assessment. Students will work together in groups to write a
summary of their political typology group and participate in a classroom gallery walk, reflecting on at least three different groups’ summaries.
Content Standard: 12.2.4 Understand the obligations of civic-mindedness, including voting, being informed on civic issues, volunteering and performing
public service, and serving in the military or alternative service.

PREPARE:
1. You and your table will use the information from the Pew website AND from your
self-reflections to teach/educate/inform your classmates about your political
typology.
1. All information will be written/drawn on your table.
2. Tables will be flipped up so make sure you are writing in the correct direction!
3. You will have 15 minutes to prepare your table
2. Information to include on your table/in your presentation:
1. Name of Typology Group
2. Where you are on the political typology spectrum.
3. How many people in our class are in the typology
4. How many people in the United States are in that typology
5. A general summary of the ”beliefs” of your typology group - (8-10 bullets)
6. Make it neat, organized and legible!
Group Activity: Typology Gallery Walk
Gallery Walk
1. Choose a partner with which to work.
2. You can go to any table/go in any order.
3. You must carry your laptop with you during the Gallery Walk as you will
be reflecting on what you see in a Google form. (Access in today’s folder.)
4. When you get to the table:
1. Spend 60-90 seconds discussing what you see with your partner.
2. Complete the Gallery Walk Reflection (Google Form) at every table.
5. You have 15 minutes to visit as many tables as possible.
1. You must visit a minimum of 3 tables but you may not sit down until
the full 15 minutes is up!
