qualification, the BILM has been designed so that the
externally awarded CILT qualifications are embedded
in the degree programme.
TL6001 Assessments

• Assignment 1: 40%
• Assignment 2: 60%

• What must you get to pass the course?


• Students must get aggregate 60% or more to pass the
course
• What does aggregate mean? Can you fail an exam
and still pass the course?

• Assignment 1: 40% 31st October 2020
• Assignment 2: 60% 9th January 2021

opinions are valid. We show respect for each other. We
listen and learn.

• Students should come to class prepared with


headphones and a microphone enabled on their laptops.

• I have worked overseas before. So I understand what its


like not to be 100% fluent in another language If you
don’t understand what is being taught please stop me.

Attendance

• Time is critical in Logistics… so please be on time


in full to classes.

• Time & Attendance Policy (A-AB-006)


• Up to 20% absences in a course is allowed for normal
illness /absences.
• W/A = to F Grade
• W = only applied when student has proven
exceptional reasons for being absent (this is only
granted on Dean, HoS & PM approval)
• Last day to withdraw from classes without penalty is
22nd September.
Attendance
• Time is critical in Logistics… so please be on
time in full to classes.
• Attend all classes and be on time
• What does WA mean?
• What % absence is WA?
• More than 20% Absence = WA
• Remember, there are no appeals for
reinstatement, only to change to W
• What difference does a W or WA do to your
GPA?
• What happens if you fail or WA from a
compulsory course twice?
Attendance
• How many minutes late is L1?
• 0-10 minutes late = L1
• How many minutes late is L2?
• 10-20 minutes late = L2 (i.e. absent for hour 1)
• What happens if you are 30+ minutes late?
• Marked absent (i.e. absent for hours 1&2)
