Centralized Airconditioning System
• Central air conditioning is a system in
which air is cooled at a central location
and distributed to and from rooms by one
or more fans and ductwork.
• It can refer to centralized heating and
cooling unit, or a completely centralized
air conditioning system.
• Normally used in high rise office
buildings, airports, shopping malls, and
other large structures.
Centralized Air Condition
• In 1842, John Gorrie, a Physician in
Florida. He used the compressor
technology to create ice which he use to
cool the air in his hospital. He envisioned
centralized air conditioning that could
cool the entire city of Florida
• In year 1931, Frigidaire, an appliance
company in America, begin to market a
centralized air conditioning systems in
homes.
• By late 1960s, most homes had
centralized air conditioning, as well as
window air conditioners.
