a large audience.

general public.
◦ Some of the most common platforms
for mass media include the television,
radio, the internet, and so on.

• Social effects of mass media are
basically how mass media influences the
individual and the society at large.
• For instance, mass media can influence
the candidate individuals will vote for in
an election ordinarily from the way it
presents them.

common experiences in our modern world.

◦ Some good examples of this point
are the recent Lekki Toll gate
killings which occurred on the 20th
of October, 2022, the END SARS
protest, and the Black Lives Matter
movement.

the populace, it influences people to
copy these lifestyles.
