INTRODUCTION
“All athletes are disciplined in their training.
They do it to win a prize that will fade away,
but we do it for an eternal prize.

So I run with purpose in every step. I am not

just shadowboxing.”
-1 Corinthians 9:25-26

Defining Self-Management Strategies

Self-management
strategies can be
defined as the
processes of
conducting oneself in
the most effective way
to achieve one’s goals.
They are the
efficient use of time,
energy, money and
other social
resources to achieve
a predetermined
purpose.
Biblical and philosophical
perspective
1. Rule over his own spirit: Proverbs 25:28
2. You reflect who you are: Matthew 12:33,
35
3. Planning matters: Luke 14:28-32
“I count him braver who overcomes his
desires than him who conquers his
enemies, for the hardest victory is over
self.” – Aristotle
“Self-management, therefore, is all about
becoming your own leader by training your
mental, physical, social and intellectual
faculties in different ways.” ― Dr. Prem
Jagyasi
Defining Self-Evaluation

Self-evaluation is about
assessing and judging
yourself in relation to
your life goals &
achievements.
Importance of self-evaluation
1.To know yourself
2.For continuous development
3.To determine your level of
performance
4.To beat your record
Conclusion
Our greatest challenge as humans is not
managing other people but managing
ourselves. The extent of our success is
dependent of the extent to which we can
subdue our excessive desire for pleasure and
rather cultivate healthy self-control.
