BACKGROUND
and
RATIONALE
Shared Vision
Serrano Elementary School vision is to prepare and motivate our learners for a
rapidly changing world by instilling in them critical thinking skills, a global
perspective, and a respect for core values of honesty, loyalty, perseverance and
compassion . Learners will have success for today and be prepared for tomorrow.
Serrano Elementary School is a Child Friendly School manned by a dynamic
and effective leader ,supported by competent and dedicated teachers together with
the active participation of our stakeholders who work together to produce youths
who are asset to the community and our country.
In the next three (3) years, Serrano Elementary School aims to provide quality
basic education that promotes life-long learning. We aim to provide education that
is accessible, of quality and governed by existing rules and protocols aligned with
the Department of Education.
SMART GOALS:
By the end of the school year 2024-2025, there will be an
increase in the overall assessment data in Mathematics to
75%.

The numeracy skills in key stage 1 will be grade level ready.


Also in Key Stage 1, learners that needs major support and
anchoring levels will be transformed into developing, and
proficient with necessary numeracy skill level.

Why?
To gain mastery over the basic Math facts needed to excel in later
and increasing Math proficiency. It is a math proficiency program that
helps the learners develop quick recall of their basic math facts.
Learners with a strong foundation of the basics will have a more
effective learning when they begin to tackle more advanced math like
fractions and algebra.

Extra-Math

September 5 afternoon, trial of the gadgets / checking, set-
up and all other preparation related matters. Persons involve
are the ICT team and math coordinator.

ANA will be administered per class


The online assessment will be taken simultaneously by all
the students per class

teacher-adviser will assist (especially the KS1 who doesn’t
know how to read)
