REMOTE/ONLINE TIME TRIALS
STANDARD PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS

PRE-EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
1. Kindly ensure that you will have enough bandwidth and a stable internet connection during
the time trial periods.
2. You will need a laptop to access the Time Trial paper online and an additional device to log
into Zoom (mobile phones can be used for this purpose).
3. You are able to access the Google Classroom of your respective Subject Teachers
4. Prepare lined papers and graph paper. You may use the school's test pad.
5. Ensure that you have all materials ready such as stationery, a working calculator, protractor
set etc. (Your teacher will inform you of the materials you will need for the subject paper)
6. Choose a spot in the house where it is quiet and conducive for an examination (we
recommend a room that has a study table and a chair). Get that spot ready by removing
any prohibited items (notes, textbooks etc.) or any item that might be of a distraction for
you.
7. Get the room / spot to be exam-ready by doing the following:
a. Set up an additional device to log into the Zoom during the whole duration of each paper.
b. The video should be showing clearly a video of yourself, your test pad and the screen of
your computer. See some examples below.

DURING THE EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

1. The exam paper will be available 10 minutes before the starting time. The papers can be
found in the respective Subject Google Classroom
2. Students are expected to be in the Zoom meeting 10 minutes before the start time. You
are to be muted at all times.
3. Begin writing.
4. There will be no toilet breaks granted while the examination session is on.
5. If you have any questions, raise your hand. The invigilator will address you.
6. You are not allowed to move from your spot to take any items such as a calculator,
stationery etc.
7. You are not allowed to turn off the Zoom. If you do so, your paper will be null and void.
8. Utilisation of any unauthorised materials, including mobile devices, handwritten notes or
textbooks are forbidden during the examination.
9. There should not be any unauthorised person in the room with you. Communications with
any other personnel through whatever means are forbidden.
10. No hat, headsets, headscarf, headband, sunglasses, jewellery nor other accessories are
allowed to be worn during the examination period unless for religious purposes.

WRITING / ANSWERING PROCEDURES

1. All answers are to be written using a lined paper/school's test pad. Answering in any
notebook is not allowed.
2. Please write your name, class and campus clearly at the top of the writing paper.
3. Use a black or blue pen to write. If corrections are needed, cross out the wrong one only
once and write the correct answer after it.
4. For subjects that require you to draw or sketch, use a pencil and label the parts if necessary.
5. In Mathematics, please use graph paper if instructed in the question paper.
6. Check your answers thoroughly before the time is up.
7. When the time is up, the invigilator will instruct you to put your pens down and to stop
writing.
8. You will then have 5 minutes to take a clear picture of only your answers. You may scan
them if you have a scanner. Convert the file into a PDF format and upload it to your
respective Google Classroom.
9. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the clarity of their answer script. Any late
submission without the invigilator’s approval will not be accepted.
10. Your Zoom should still be switched on from the beginning until the end of the examination
while you are uploading your answers.
11. You may leave the Zoom room only upon the instruction of your invigilator.
