DRUG ABUSE
Any drug intake that causes more harmful
than helpful effects on the mind and body due
to the following acts:

behavior.

altering drug for a
purpose different
from the one for
which that drug
has been
prescribed.

medical

 The OVERUSE of a
drug without due
regard to accepted
medical practices
resulting in the
individual’s physical,
mental, emotional or
behavioral impairment.
 Persistent or
sporadic
excessive use
inconsistent
with or
unrelated to
acceptable
medical
practice.
