• TeamDesk is an online database application that enables users to easily design


web-based database applications or use predefined solutions to collect, share,
and manage business data. It helps companies with data sharing and user
access. Even today, many companies use spreadsheets to store their business
data and organize their team collaboration. But this method does not allow them
to share data on an individual user access level. TeamDesk is the answer to this
problem as it offers a robust role-based access mechanism. Roles allow you to
control what each user can access and which actions they can do against the
database.

• The user interface, though intuitive, could be made cleaner and less cluttered.
• Team Desk should increase the number of apps it can be integrated with to
further expand its efficiency and use.

"Project Red Dog," and before it was officially announced in 2010, it was codenamed "Windows Azure."
• Microsoft's Azure SQL Database is a fully managed database service, which means that SQL Server is
managed and maintained by Microsoft for your benefit. Built-in intelligence that adapts to app patterns
and optimizes speed, data security, and reliability. Innovative features, such as built-in high availability,
are also included in the database to help you keep your business running smoothly.In October 2008,
Microsoft announced Azure. Azure is a public cloud computing platform at its heart. Analytics, virtual

professionals created the operating system, nicknamed "Red Dog."

DATABASE

Microsoft Azure Database is a fully managed platform as a service (PaaS) database engine that handles most of the database
management functions such as upgrading, patching, backups, and monitoring without user involvement. Microsoft Azure
Database is always running on the latest stable version of the MS Server database engine and patched OS with 99.99%
availability. Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities that are built into Microsoft Azure SQL Database enable you to focus on
the domain-specific database administration and optimization activities that are critical for your business.
Azure SQL Database is a relational database-as-a-service (DBaaS) in the Microsoft Cloud (Azure), also in addition allows you
to do the following:

a. Create a database using the Azure portal*


b. Set up a server-level IP firewall rule using the Azure portal
c. Connect to the database with SSMS
d. Create tables with SSMS
e. Bulk load data with BCP

Azure follows the DADSC approach to security: detect, assess, diagnose, stabilize, and close.

3. Azure offers good scalability options.


Like most businesses, you probably have a day or two when you maximize your data use, then the rest of the month, you use a
minimal amount.

4. It is a cost-effective solution for an IT budget.Because you’re using a cloud provider, you don’t have the same capital
investments into IT infrastructure that other businesses face.

Although Microsoft is always trying to improve the features that are integrated with Azure SQL Database, there are still a
few notable missing functionality for the time being.

Confusion about Database Transaction Units


You should know exactly what resources are available to you if you are used to administering SQL Server on hardware
over which you have direct control. Confusion about Database Transaction Units

Management is required.
Drawbacks to Microsoft Azure, as there are with any other service. IaaS (Azure) shifts your company's processing
capacity from your data center or office to the cloud, unlike SaaS platforms (for example, Office 365) where the end-user
consumes information.
