Origin of the MOMENTUM

However, the term

momentum became popular
with Newton (1642-1727)
who, interested in
understanding how objects
overcome inertia to achieve
momentum, proposed the
three laws of motion: First
law of motion.

What is momentum?
Momentum is a vector quantity: it has both
magnitude and direction. Since momentum has a
direction, it can be used to predict the resulting
direction and speed of motion of objects after they
collide.

Application of momentum in our daily lives

The impulse is related to

everyday life in different
forms and applications, for
example if two people push
a car because its battery is
exhausted, the car changes
its amount of movement
thanks to the impulse of
these people.
