INTRODUCTION
• In this modern era, manual handling of electronic appliances is being replaced
by automatic system.
•The whole world is switching towards smart system
•The smart extension board is a electric board which can turn any ordinary
electrical home appliances into smart appliances.
•Using smart extension board, the appliances can be controlled from anywhere in
the world
COMPONENTS REQUIRED :-
Node MCU (esp8266)
Internet connectivity
Connecting wires
Jumper wires
PROPOSED MODEL
• The Arduino board can operate on an external supply of 6 to 20 volts. If supplied with less than 7
volts, however, the pin 5 may supply less than five volts and the board may be unstable.
• If using more than 12volts is supplied, the voltage regulator may overheat and damage the board. The
recommended range is 7 to 12 volts which is the reason behind choosing the 9volts battery.
HARDWARE AND
SOFTWARE
REQUIREMENTS
Node MCU (esp8266):
• Node MCU is open source low cost IOT platform.
• It is open source platform their hardware
• It includes firmware which runs on the ESP8266 Wi-Fi SoC from
Espressif Systems
• The hardware is based on the ESP-12 module

ELECTRIC PLUG SOCKET
Socket outlets, or electric receptacles, help provide direct access to an electric
power source.
They are designed to feed power to most electrically-run equipment from a series of
small 2 boxes that are wired directly to an electrical panel or other power source.
