Hello, I´m Greace Gonzalez and this is my
family. From down is my grandmother and my
grandfather; from left to right is my aunt and
my uncle, my father and my mother, me and
my husband, and my brother.

Possesive nouns indicate possession or
ownership:

That means that they help


indicate when something belongs
to someone.

For example: I am the boy’s bear.

Noun + ‘ + s
There are some simple rules:

. POSSESSIVE NOUNS are super important when we speak English.

.In Spanish we say: ‘The house of my mother’ to indicate that the house belongs
to my mother.

. But in English it is not used and can sound strange.


Possessive nouns

- We add ‘s for singular nouns

This is Nelly’s dog.


- We add only the aphostrophe ‘
for plural nouns ending in ‘s’

This is the boys’ room.


-To show possession for two or more
people we add ‘s or ‘ after the last
person’s name.

Grace is Luis and Charo’s daughter.


Grace is Charo and Luis’ daughter.
Possessive nouns: Greace´s family

Teresa is Greace’s aunt.

Nelly is Greace’s grandmother.

Greace is Nicolas’ wife.

Who´s Joel? He´s Greace’s brother.

Who´s Greace? She´s Charito and Luis’ daughter.
