This study investigates the problem on why students shift to another course.
Shifting to another course is one of the factors why the population of students of a
particular program decreases. Students shift from one course to another course
because of academic difficulties, the incapability of students to pass their subjects,
difficulty of having companion in school.
In this paper, the researcher discussed the importance of making this study to
gather more information about those students who shift to another course, and what
are the main reasons why they shift to another course. To find possible solutions and
to avoid losing students to the program.
Conceptual Framework
Statement of the Problem
This study conducts to determine the factors affecting student’s decision to shift
course among BSED mathematics students in Bucas Grande Foundation College in
school year 2022-2023.
Specifically, this study seeks to answers to the following questions:
Participants - The participants of the study are those students who shift from the
course of BSED Mathematics of Bucas Grande Foundation College.
Instrument - A researcher – made questionnaire will use to gather the needed data
of the study.
Data Gathering Procedure - The researchers will send a letter to the dean of
Bachelor of Teacher Education of Bucas Grande Foundation College to ask
permission in conducting the study
