 BRIEF HISTORY OF
PANABO CITY FOURSQUARE GOSPEL CHURCH
• The first membership started to gather as a mere house fellowship
where several healing miracles happened. It was purely
evangelization and Bible study. However, the leaders were replaced
from time to time which resulted to an inconsistent and unstable
growth of the church.
• The ‘Joyful Sounds’ held its fund-raising musical concert in the
United Church of Christ in the Philippines - Panabo and its proceeds
helped the construction of the church building. With the major
construction materials on hand, the first church building was erected
within the newfound site in 1975.

• Thinking that God owns everything, Mr. Ybañez heartily donated the eight-
hundred fifty-one square meter lot to the church conveniently located along
Quezon Street. Few months after, a groundbreaking ceremony took place.
• The church went in another spiritual and physical reconstruction. The Resueño
couple, Rev. Hernani and Milagros, who pioneered a church in San Juan Village,
Agdao, Davao City at that time, were temporarily assigned by Rev. Veronico
Suan, Mindanao District Supervisor, to the pastorless church in Panabo.
• During their time, daughter churches were opened in Barangay San Pedro,
Carmen, Davao del Norte, and in Lasang, Davao City led by Rev. Brendo &
Pastora Lisa Medina

• At the beginning of the Millennium, the Resueños were sent by the church
outside the country to study on Family Counselling and Therapy, to attend the
annual Intentional Discipleship Mission Conferences in Singapore, and many
more.
• The Church becomes more of the Church the world and the community needs.
Care groups were formed, / and feeding programs were initiated for children
and young people.
• At the end of 2021, the young and energetic Pastor Crisente Mancao Jr. and
wife, Pastora Ginger Abigail Lopez-Mancao were appointed as the new Senior
Pastors after the four-decades long and lifelong leadership of the Resueños.

There are teachers assigned to do the task. They follow their schedules.
The topics were arranged monthly.
The children were taught to memorize bible verses and to give unto
God.
There are activities conducted written thru word search and coloring
materials.
Rewards were given quarterly.

Youth Sunday: every 3rd Sunday of the month.
Afterwards, the leaders from their mentoring
sessions will provide questions based from the
sermon. There are activities prepared to suffice the
afternoon session of that particular Sunday.

The core of the Christian Education Programs of
Panabo City Foursquare Gospel Church is to attain
every needs of the believers not just physically but
most importantly the spiritual being of man.
