Give insights on the following statements: (CHOOSE 4 STATEMENTS ONLY)
1. In making curriculum for Christian Education we must use the Bible as the textbooks.
2. Upon learning the areas of Philosophy, as Christian educator is it necessary to adopt it.
3. “This book will keep you from sin and sin will keep you from this book.”
4. Our task as Christian educators and students, in the true spirit of philosophy, is to know and do
God’s will.
5. Teaching involves the student’s experience; it is not just giving information. However, it is the
Holy Spirit who actually affects changes in life.
6. Many of us need to expand our vision and burden in the area of Christian education. There
needs to be comprehensive planning and training of lay workers.

1. In making curriculum for Christian Education we must use the Bible as the textbooks.

 Among all the reference books, Bible served as the primary reference because only the Holy
Scripture can provide a sound, free from any errors and profitable for living. Since education is
in a Christian, it should be inspired by God’s breath. Truly, there is assurance that it is a
reliable source because only God used different spirit-filled writers to be able to produce an
extraordinary book which is the Bible. In other words, the curriculum is on the right track
because the ultimate source promotes a sound doctrine.

2. Upon learning the areas of Philosophy, as Christian educator is it necessary to adopt it.

 In my own perspectives, it is not necessary that all Christian educators should adopt it. We
don’t deny the fact that it didn’t came from the Bible. Most of the studies relates to the secular
or physical world. Also, the writers were not Christians. There is no assurance that the lessons
will not led you to a false teaching. If the lessons from other areas of philosophy doesn’t
violated what’s in the bible, then, we can integrate it. If it violates, there’s a need to rely on the
Bible alone.

3. “This book will keep you from sin and sin will keep you from this book.”

 If the Christians will apply what is in the Bible, he or she will distant himself or herself to
continue upon sinning because the truth will remind that person that Christians are sanctified
from the world. On the other hand, if that person continues on sinning, there’s a big possibility
that guilt will come up and he or she no longer read and apply what is in the Bible.

4. Many of us need to expand our vision and burden in the area of Christian education. There needs
to be comprehensive planning and training of lay workers.

 Christian Educations needs the help of individuals for the plans to be realized. It should be
planned accordingly especially upon making the curriculum and equipping the lay workers as
well. The burden will be light and the vision will be clearer if there’s a collaborative effort of the
teachers and especially God as the Master Teacher. It should not be done by the pastor
alone, also the cooperation of the passionate teachers is important.
