SYNOPSIS
 JCB machine is a type of crane, which contains horizontal member called arm, movable unit and
mounted pillar.
JCB machines are used in industrial application and also in constructional purposes. It may be
fitted to top of the floor and is used to lift the heavy loads from one location to another location
in industries.
 This system of hydraulic cylinder arrangement
has high strength than pneumatic arrangement.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
This arrangement contains DC motor, hydraulic bottle jack, crane, and worm gear arrangement.
The piston rod inside the hydraulic bottle jack actuates when the pump is actuated.
Then the hydraulic cylinder actuates with the help of fluid pressure. A worm gear arrangement is
coupled at the end of DC motor shaft.
The gear arrangement is coupled to another vertical shaft which is mounted to the base frame
with help of bearing for smooth rotating motion.
This is helpful to operate in other directions also.
Hydraulic JCB Project Explanation :
• Hydraulic excavator :

Hydraulic excavator is a powerful construction machine. We can see this machine in various
construction sites such as road sites, dam sites, building sites, etc. This machine is designed to
demolish purpose. It can dig a hole, move mud form one place to another. It moves using either
wheel or chain.
There are lots of company which manufacture excavator in which JCB is renowned one.
• Pressure :

Pressure can be defined as “The ration of force applied perpendicularly per unit area.” Unit of
pressures is pascal. There are many types of pressure some of them are absolute pressure,
gauge pressure , atmospherics pressure, etc. Pressure can be calculated using formula P=F/A.
Hydraulic JCB Project Explanation :
• Pascal’s law :

Pascal’s law can be stated as “when we apply pressure on the fluid inside a closed container. This
force is transmitted to liquid and wall of container.”
ADVANTAGES
1.Less coefficient of friction.
2.More efficient.
3.Power can be easily transmission.
4.Portable.
5. Hydraulic excavator helps to make our work easier and faster.
AAPLICATION
1. It is applicable in small and large scale industries and in constructional
applications.
2. The proportional flow reduction used for the high reach machines also
maximizes the speed of operation so that operator’s ability to use the
machine’s full operative system is not compromised.
3. The purpose of this project is to show working of Pascal Law.
