 TINEA MANUUM and TINEA PEDUM

Tinea manuum is also a fungal infection which refers to ringworm

of the hands or fingers. Patients may present with dry scaly lesions
involving one or both hands, single fingers, or two or more fingers.

Tinea pedum or “athlete’s foot” is an infection on the interdigital

spaces on the feet and is often caused by fungi such as
Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and
Epidermophyton floccosum.
