MATERIAL FLOW

Shortly after the hot strand and dummy bar exit the last
horizontal segment, the dummy bar is disconnected from
the strand by disconnecting device using winch and
controlled automatically. The dummy bar up to dummy
bar car on the casting platform.
The casting process continuous and the strand is cut to
the preselected length with an automatic torch cutting
machine. The torch cutting machine is equipped with a
granulation system.
After torch cutting machine, the slab is transported the
the roller table via deburring system and marked by
marking machine.
Then the slab is delivered to the secondary cutting and
hot charging to rolling mill. The slabs will be delivered to
secondary cutting machines for cutting max. Three
daughter slabs. Then daughter slabs are deburred and
pilled up to 4 pieces with pick up crane. The pilled 4
pieces of slabs are transported and loaded onto the
transfer car for transportation to plate mill.

Approaching R/T

Approaching roller table serves to support the dummy bar to top feeding hoist and strand down to the
runout area.
During casting the rollers are synchronize with casting speed. And move together with the same speed.
The torch approach roller table is located between the exit pinch roll and the shifting roll table. The
frame are fixed on the foundation with M30 anchor bolts

PHOTOELECTRIC SENSOR

Optical sensor based on the modulation of travelling between a light source and a light deector. The transmitted
light can travel along an air path. Form of transmission gives immunity to electromagnetically induced noise, and
also provides greater safety than electrical sensors when used in hazardous environments.
Light sources suitable for transmission accros an air path include tungsten-filament lamps, laser diodes and light-
emitting diodes (LEDs). However, as the light from tungsten lamps is usually in the visible part of the light
frequency spectrum, it is prone to interference from the sun and other sources. Hence, infrared LEDs or infrared
diodes are usually preferred. The emit light in a narrow frequency band in the infrared region are not affected by
sunlight or other sources.

APPROACHING R/T

The roller is hollow (inner cooling) with smooth surface roller. The roller is supported on self- aligning roller bearing
and bearing housing. The bearing are screwed on the roller table frame. The roller is driven by plug- on gear motor.
The three- phase motor is flanged to the plug-on gear. The motor is slipped on roller via the hollow shaft.
The coverings serve to protect the sensitive concrete of the frame foundation below the strand against heat
radiation.

The spray header arrangement consist of rotary joint and pipe made by stainless stell. The arrangement is
installed between the frame girders in the connecting tube, under the roller. The arrangement is installed to
interior rollers.

The safety basket consists of steel structure with screwed I-beams. The arrangement is
installed between the roller table frame and the casting platform.

The shifting roller table serves to transfer the hot strand to the torch cutting area. When the
torch arrives at the roller area, the roller table is shifted and the cutting oxygen supply of
the torch cutter is shut off at the same time.
The driven rollers run synchronously to the casting speed (idle running) or at the roller table
speed (roller speed) upon completion of cutting.

RUN OUT ROLL TABLE
The runout roller table split into several groups serves to support and transport the hot slabs to secondary cross cutting area.
The runout roller table is located after the torch cutting roller table (shifting roller table) and consist of several roller tables.
The frames are fixed on the foundation with M30 anchor- bolt’s.
The roller runout table with marking machine serves for support and transfer the cut slabs from the torch cutting roller table to
the end of the roller table and stopped by movable stop.
The runout roller table consist of 2x19 driven rollers where 2x 7 rollers are equipped with spray header arrangement.
