Regular
Tesselation

Made from
regular polygons
and congruent
joined side to
side .
Semi-Regular
Tessellation

A semi-regular
tessellation is one
consisting of regular
polygons of the same
length of side, with
the same 'behaviour'
at each vertex.
Non-Regular
Tessellation

A non-regular
tessellation is a
tessellation that is
composed of other
shapes that may or
may not be
polygons.
FREIZE PATTERN

•A frieze pattern is a
figure with one
direction of
translation symmetry.

which is

itself .

that turns a
figure about a
point .

a composition of

• Flipping of a shape or image . Also can
be called as mirror image .

Symmetry

Symmetry
