Text -Talk Novels
Text-talk novel is one of the modern ways of
writing stories and novel. The medium for this
kind of literature limits to email, SMS, and
messenger. The stories are told entirely in
dialogue. These are often presented in
screenshots of messages that form stories.

The term illustrated novel refers to an
extended narrative with multiple images that,
together with the text, produce meaning.

Chick Literature
When we say chick lit, It means that the book has a
female main character and the plot is about her life,
her goals, and her happiness. Chick lit is a genre of
literature that focuses on female protagonists.
These stories are usually targeted at younger
women and are described as “popular fiction.”

-Manga is the Japanese word for comics
-It is used in the English-speaking world as a generic term for
all comic books and graphics novels originally published in Japan.
-Manga is always published in black and white, unlike
American comic books, which are usually printed in full color
It usually follows the traditional style found in Japan. -
Japanese Manga is to be read from the right side to the left of the
panels and text from right to left.

- is a genre of writing that uses literary styles and
techniques to create factually accurate narratives.
- it covers writing journalism, statistical, essay and
etc.
- it is focused on story, meaning it has a narrative
plot with an inciting moment, rising action, climax
and denouement, just like fiction.

Hyper Poetry
- This genre, also called Cyberpoetry, it refers to the
genre of poetry that is always produced and presented
with the computer. It involves lines of verse that
appear with links to footnotes, poetry generators, sub-
poems, or poetry with images or movement. Hyper
poetry highly includes visuals.
- Some examples are Hopfield, Back-propagation, Neo-
cognitron, Kohonen and Adaptive Resonance.
Flash Fiction
- genre of fiction, defined as a very short story. While
there is no set word count that separates flash fiction
from more traditional short stories, flash fiction stories
can be as short as a few words while short stories
typically run for several pages.
- How short is short? To put it in perspective, it's under
1,500 words that can only be read in minutes unlike
other genre of fiction that will take hours to finish.

A six-word story is an entire story told in six words. It is a
short narrative that can have all of the emotional themes of
longer stories—from funny to dramatic, sad to scary.
- Ernest Hemingway won a bet by writing the six-word story
“For sale: baby shoes. Never worn.” Fast forward in
November 2006, Larry Smith, founder of what was then called
SMITH Magazine, gave the six-word novel a personal twist
by asking his community to describe their lives in exactly six
words. He called these brief life stories Six-Word Memoirs.

from a computer and can be web- or app- based (for

- Digital fictions are what are known as "born digital".

navigation, viewing, reading, in all three formats .

Graphic Novel
- A graphic novel is a book made up of comics content.
Although the word "novel" normally refers to long
fictional works, the term "graphic novel" is applied
broadly and includes fiction, non-fiction, and
anthologized work. It is distinguished from the term
"comic book", which is generally used for comics
periodicals.
- Narrative work in which the story is conveyed to the
reader using comic form.
