SOCIETY

• Composed of members sharing some mutual concerns


or interest , a common characteristic of objective.
• A network of relationships between social entities which
can be independent community.
• A self-reproducing grouping of individuals occupying a
particular territory.
CHARACTERESITICS OF SOCIETY

• A social networks which are maps of relationships


between people. It features different structures such as

• proximity
• frequency of contact,
• type of relationship
•Criteria for membership are standards set by society
that a member must satisfy in order to become accepted
as part of the society.
•The organization of the society is according to a specific
patterns.
•The society is organized according to their political structure and the like.
THE TRADITIONAL AGRICULTURAL
SOCIETIES
The time when humans survived primarily by hunting
animals and gather wild vegetation.

* Role members are usually determined by age and sex,


women stay in the house. The oldest member is the
* Head man, called it as Shaman acting as the spiritual
leader.
* Life is very simple since social organization evolves within
the family or clan.
HORTICULTURIST OR SIMPLE FARMING
SOCIETIES
• It is now cultural, the community was first realized in this era,
where people began to group and attain a common goals.
• People gather to perform crop rising or fishing and then later
establish community where the type of resource predominates
• Used tools like stones to pierce the body of animal and to curve
and de-skin animals.
AGRARIAN SOCIETY

• Agrarian Society or Agriculture Society


• is a society where agriculture including both crop
production and animal breeding is the foundation of
both the economy and jobs
INTENSIVE AGRICUTURAL SOCIETIES
OR CIVILIZATIONS
*Societies become more institutionalized society at is
maximum size, people worked together at a
compartmentalized level to support the big size of the
society. Classic example is the Sumerian Civilization where
a center community was established, the Ziggurat all the
harvest and other supplies were deposited and evenly
distributed to all members,
