What are the requirements for LGUs to join
and participate in the swine repopulation
program?
1. All LGUs affected by ASF but has no existing cases or
outbreak in swine population
a. At least 40 days from the last case
4. Recovery Protocol
a. Infected and exposed pigs are culled
b. Cleaning and Disinfection
c. Environmental Surveillance of Affected Areas
d. Placement of Sentinel Animals from areas
being upgraded from Pink to Yellow Zones

If positive, repeat the C&D and collect again environmental swab samples 7 days after.
For municipalities/city with no ASF outbreaks detected for the past 90 days after its last ASF case,
environmental surveillance may commence provided thorough Cleaning and Disinfection following
the protocol. If environmental samples were tested negative, placement of sentinel animals can be
performed immediately.
