INTRODUCTION
In this activity, we were tasked to tackle
about the Searching & Advanced
Searching that we are currently using in
today's time. This would help us to
conserve time from seeking various
information.

In computer science, searching is the
process of finding an item with the
specified properties from a collection
of items. The items may be stored as
records in a database or a simple data
element in the array, text in files,
nodes in trees, vertices, and edges in
graphs or they may be elements of
other search spaces.
 Why do we need searching?
Searching is one of the computer
science algorithms. You know that
today’s modern computers store a lot
of information. To read this information
proficiently, we need very efficient
searching algorithms
 FUNCTIONS OF SEARCHING

a simple form on the Web
page, usually a text field
for the search term and a
button to trigger the
search or by adding a link
to a page that includes a

function is not necessarily

to find out. This is the most
appropriate function for
conducting comprehensive
and precise searches to
answer a clinical or
research question.

SEARCHING
Advanced Search teaches how to find important links and websites

user who really finds a particular site useful may want to enter
that page's URL into the Find Pages Similar To The Page line.
Using the advanced functions of Google, and/or specialized search
engines, will get you more specific search results so you don't
have to look through irrelevant results, and may find specifically
relevant information that otherwise may not be available.

In both Searching and Advanced Searching, these two allows you
to pursue your interests, to learn something new, to hone your
problem-solving skills and to challenge yourself in new ways. It
can improve the quality of education in many ways. It opens
doorways to a wealth of information, knowledge, and educational
resources, increasing opportunities for learning in and beyond the
classroom.
