NEED
• 1. Flood is a regular natural disaster in our country that happens
nearly every year during the monsoon season.
• 2. During a flood, it is important to have an efficient flood response
operation system to manage all activities among different related
agencies
• 3. This flood monitoring system has been designed to alert the
local people about the significant rise in water level.
Benefits:
• In coastal areas and states like Assam,Meghalaya,Uttarakhand,etc.
• These Areas experience frequent flooding every year.So,in order to
get early warnings about the floods,there is a need to design an
equipment that can help us to detect the water levels,which can
save numerous lives by alerting people as early as possible.
• This equipment can also be used at domestic levels for detecting
water level in water tanks.
• Also it indicates the fuel level of vehicles.
Components
1. Buzzer
2.Transistors
3.Breadboard
4.Connecting wires
5.Battery.
6.LED bulb.
Procedure
• When water level reaches to point A, circuit with RED LED &
transistor Q1 gets completed and RED LED glows .
• ▪ Similarly when water level reaches to point B, circuit with
YELLOW LED and transistor Q2 gets completed and Yellow LED
glows, same goes with point C.
• ▪ And finally when tank gets full (Point D), circuit with buzzer gets
completed and buzzer starts beeping.
CONCLUSION
• Thus we can design a device that can be used for social as well as
domestic purpose.
• In large scale social application we can avoid loss of life as well as
property, and in domestic use we can avoid wastage of water .
