Banana (Saha) Ppt.1
Banana (Saha) Ppt.1
A study by Chowdhury et al. (2020). It was made a solution to undergo electrospinning. It was found that the
electrospinning process was shown to enhance fabric’s breathability, indicated by high air permeability. These will
be utilized in the study by applying the same test that their samples went through. The procedures that will be
applicable to the creation of the banana fiber facial mask would be following the general guidelines of a facial mask,
3-layers structure which is aligned with the surgical mask structure (C. Vigneswaran et al 2015).
This study aims to determine the potentiality of banana (saha) as biodegradable mask and test its level of satisfaction.Specifically, this seeks
answer to the following queries:
Research Design
The study will employ a Descriptive Correlational design. Data will be collected using questionnaires as the primary
data-gathering tool in assessing the potentiality of banana (saha) as a biodegradable mask and its level of
satisfaction among street vendors in the Municipality of New Corella.
Research Subject
The respondents of the study are the 50 street vendors residing in Barangay Poblacion. According to Roscoe (1975),
Creswell, and Frankeal et al. (2012), a sample size of 30 or more is appropriate for this kind of research method.
The questionnaire for the extent of the potentiality of banana (saha) as biodegradable mask and its level of
satisfaction will be rated by the street vendors within the Barangay Poblacion.
Research Locale
The research will be conducted in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of New Corella, Davao del Norte, which will be
the main location for the researchers to collect data.

Research Instrument
This study will use two sets of a questionnaire constructed by the researchers. These will be validated by the research panel. The first tool is the questionnaire
designed to elicit the responses on the potentiality of banana (saha) as biodegradable mask. And the other set of research instrument is the questionnaire that
will be used to collect data on the level of satisfaction. The street vendors will rate these questionnaires as respondents involved in the study.
For the potentiality of banana (SAHA) as biodegradable mask, For the level of satisfaction among street vendors :
the following ratings scale will be employed:
Range of means Description Interpretation Range of means Description Interpretation

Statistical Treatment of Data
The gathered data will be tabulated and analyzed using the following statistical tools:
Correlation. This will be used to determine the significant relationship between the potentiality of
banana (saha) as a biodegradable mask and the level of satisfaction among street vendors.
Linear Regression Analysis. This will be used to see the predictability level of one dependent
variable and one or more independent variables.
Mean. This data will be utilized to determine the potentiality of banana (saha) as a biodegradable
mask and the level of satisfaction among street vendors.
RESULTS
CONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions were drawn from the results of the study.
1. The overall mean on the Potentiality of Banana (Saha) as Biodegradable
mask in terms of Material Affordability, Material Availability and
Potentiality is Very High.
2. The overall mean on the Level of Satisfaction among Street Vendors of
New Corella in terms of Durability, Quality and Cost- Effectivity is Very
High.
3. There is a significant relationship between the Potentiality of Banana
(Saha) as Biodegradable Mask in our Environment and the Level of
Satisfaction among Street Vendors of New Corella.
4. The domain that is a best predictor on the Potentiality of Banana (Saha) as
Biodegradable Mask in Good Production of the Environment among the
Three indicators was potentially which influences the Level of Satisfaction
among Street Vendors of New Corella.
Recommendations
Based on the outcomes and implications of the study, the following are
recommended:
1. Encourage general public to learn the importance of recycling
different types of agricultural wastes.
2. Explore the other and deeper potential uses of banana fiber to
reduce the volume of agricultural wastes by using it as an
alternative product in locale considering both economic and
environmental benefits.
3. The study should not be only conducted in New Corella but also in
all Municipalities.
4. Future researchers shall conduct further studies about the
potentiality of banana fibers in a larger local.
