The cylinder block is an integrated structure consisting

of a cylinder of a reciprocating engine and some or all
of which related to the surrounding structure ( the
cooling section , parts intake and exhaust parts,
connections , and crankcase )
COMPONENTS OF THE ENGINE BLOCK
 FUNCTION COMPONENTS

1. Spark plug : To generate a spark

jumps needed to burn a
mixture of air and fuel

2. Piston : serves as a back and forth motion

is produced by the crankshaft
3. Connecting Rod : liaison between the piston
and crankshaft
4. Exhaust valve : serves to close and open the
exhaust system
(exhaust manifold )
5. Intake valve : serves to open and close the
intake manifold
6. Push rod : function push rocker arm

7. Spring : works to restore the valve to

its original position

8. Carter : place for oil

9.Oil hole : to channel towards the

piston cooling oil

10. Cylinder block : as a place for piston

 FOUR STROKE

For understanding 4 stroke engine is an

engine which works to generate power
with a 4 -step process requiring up and
