Areas where animals are protected from any


disturbance to them and their habitat is called
WILDLIFE SANCTUARY(reserved forest)
It provide protection and suitable living
DO AND DON’TS IN A WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

● Killing (poaching) or capturing animals in general is strictly prohibited and


punishable by law in such places.

● People living in wildlife sanctuaries are only allowed to do


Certain activities such are grazing ,by their livestock ,
Collecting medicinal plants, firewood etc.
The most threatened wild animals like
Rhinoceros Python

Are protected and preserved in our wildlife


sanctuaries .
Indian Wildlife Sanctuaries have unique landscapes -
broad level forests ,mountain forest and bushy lands in
deltas of big rivers.India has more than 500 wildlife
sanctuaries.
But It’s pity that even protected forests are not safe because people
living in the neighbourhood encroach upon them and destroy them.
Realise that ,
Wildlife Sancturies are the only place animals receive protection
SAVE WILDLIFE
