NOUN PHRASE

Is a group of words that consists of a noun and modifier(s). The head of a noun
phrase is always a NOUN.
• the girl
• the smart girl
• the small girl in my classroom

• my classroom near the stairs

ALWAYS HAS A SUBJECT + A VERB

• My classroom near the stairs is very dirty. NP = Subject

• I always admire the smart girl in my classroom. NP = Object

• It was a Korean drama with lots of handsome guys. NP = complement
