 MICROSOFT PAINT
MS Paint is a program that is included in all
versions of Windows Operating System from
Microsoft. It is used as a drawing, coloring, and
painting tool. Through this, we can make simple
drawings and do basic image editing.
The MS Paint window, just like a canvas, is
the area where we make our drawing or
paintings. 2

MS Paint Group of Commands
a. Clipboard group – This has the Cut, Copy, and Paste commands.
b. Image group – This has Select, Crop, Resize, and Rotate commands
c. Tools group – This contains the Pencil, Fill with color, Text, Eraser,
Color picker, and Magnifier tools.
d. Brushes group – This has nine kinds of brush of various widths and
textures.
e. Shapes group – This allows us to insert ready-made shapes.
f. Size group – This sets the width of the selected tool.
g. Colors group – This allows us to set the color for the selected tool.

MS Paint Drawing Tools
 The Pencil tool is used to draw a free-form line.
 The Fill with color tool is used to fill any shape or close area with a
single solid color.
 The Text tool allows the insertion of text into the drawing.
 The Eraser tool is used when we want to remove any area of our
drawing.
 The Color picker tool is used to pick and match any color in our
drawing or image.
 The Magnifier tool enables the Zoom tool that changes the
magnification for a part of the drawing.
