At drop off in the morning, parents could bring
their child’s favourite book(s) to share with
other students (we could record these on tags
as they arrive or attached to the BookFace
pictures.

Kinder to Grade 6
YOU ARE A READER, YOU
ARE A WRITER
Some students will get numbered
sections of the book “The Most
Beautiful Thing” and illustrate these
texts; other students will find the
illustrations and re-write them. The
idea is that at the end we can put it all
together and have a complete written
and illustrated book made by The
European school students.
First, the students will find all of the clues, after that, they will
get a section of the book to either illustrate or re-write it.

from 1- 7 and illustrate them

• Prep A & Prep B will find the section with
numbers from 8-14 and illustrate them (815-
9:15 am).
• 1A & 1B   Will find the illustrations for
numbers 1-7 ( 9:15- 10:15 am) and re-write
them.
• 2A & 2B Will find the illustrations for
numbers 8- 14 and re-write the story (9:15-
10:15).
• 3A & 3B will find the sections with numbers
from 15- 21 and illustrate them (815- 9:15
am).
• 4A & 4B will find the illustrations from
sections 15-21 and re-write them (9:15 10: 15
am).
• 5 A & 5 B will find the sections with numbers
from 22-28 and illustrate them (8:15- 915 am)
• 6A & 6B will find the illustrations with
numbers from 22-28 and re-write the
sections (9: 15- 10:15 am)

of the book -

puppet characters - from
the story or from their own

SECONDARY
• Grade 7 A/B Grade 8 A/B will have to sort out/
organize the illustrations and texts, then, decide
which ones to include in the copilation.
• 7A/B could also create a short story- Exquisite
Corpse, then, 8A/B will Illustrate it.
SECONDARY
• Grade 9 A/B could be in charge of creating two
posters with the theme “The Reading Experience
is Fun”.
• Grade 10 A/B could create two “Reading
Challenge Sheets” for primary students.
