WHAT IS HEALTH CENTER

• A healthcare center, health center, or community


health center is one of a network of clinics staffed
by a group of general practitioners and nurses
providing healthcare services to people in a certain
area. some clinics have expanded greatly and can
include internal medicine, pediatric, women’s care,
family planning, pharmacy, optometry, laboratory
testing, and more.
FUNCTIONS OF HEALTH CENTER

• Health centers provide access to basic health care


services in the communities that need them most.
Their doors are open to everyone – families and
children, farmers workers and the homeless,
• Health centers integrate access to pharmacy,
mental health, substance use disorder, and oral
health services in areas where economic,
geographic, or cultural barriers limit access to
affordable health care

into subcategories as for profit and not for profit, formal and informal, domestic and
international.
• PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES
• Public health is dedicated to promoting and improving the health of people and their
communities. Public health specialists work to research diseases, respond to epidemics, develop
health programs, increase access to health services, and educate populations on proper health
care
EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

• An educational institution is a place where people


of different ages gain an education, including
preschools, childcare, primary-elementary schools,
secondary-high schools, and universities. They
provide a large variety of learning environments
and learning spaces
